PMA Pediatricians: Practitioners whose credentials are as strong as their compassion
Richard Gould, M.D. is a board certified pediatrician who earned his M.D.
at the University of New Mexico and graduated with honors. Dr. Gould completed
his residency at the University of California, Davis, and taught other residents
and medical students as Chief Resident there, before entering private practice.
He also served as Chief of Staff for Pediatrics at Sutter Memorial Hospital.
Special interests include child development and behavior. He has four children
and feels that parenting has added to his understanding of pediatrics.
Richard Lloren, M.D. is a board certified pediatrician. He received a Bachelor
of Science from the University of San Francisco and his MD from the University
of California Davis. Dr. Lloren's training was completed at Phoenix Children's
Hospital. Dr. Lloren is a general pediatrician but is particularly interested
in taking care of children with pulmonary disease. Leisure activities include
boating, golf, and painting.
Jackie Agee, M.D. is board certified in pediatrics. Dr. Agee graduated cum
laude from the University of the Pacific and received her medical degree from
the University of Nebraska. She completed her residency and post doctoral fellowship
training at the University of California at Davis Medical Center and has been
practicing in Sacramento since 1981. Special interests include pulmonary and
gastrointestinal diseases. Her two children continue to be her very best teachers
in the realm of pediatrics.
Laila Niazi, M.D. received her undergraduate degree at California State University,
Northridge with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Biology. She received her medical
degree at American University of the Caribbean and completed her pediatric
residency at the University of Nevada School of Medicine in Las Vegas, Nevada.
She joined the PMA family on August 1, 2005. (She is a child advocate and has
special interests in child safety, childhood obesity, and in promoting a healthy
lifestyle in the early years.) Leisure activities include travel, reading,
photography, and hiking.
Scott Budd, M.D. is a board certified pediatrician. He received his undergraduate degree from UCLA and his MD from the University of Arkansas, graduating with honors. Dr. Budd completed his residency at the University of Arizona, Tucson and served as Chief Resident in his final year there. Prior to joining PMA, he practiced in Nogales, AZ., Santa Fe, NM and most recently, Bay Saint Louis, MS. Dr. Budd is interested in all aspects of pediatric medicine, but particularly enjoys interacting with and education new parents regarding their infant and toddler's health. For fun he loves to sail, cook, golf, and practice guitar.

Candace Adams, Ph.D., a licensed psychologist, graduated cum laude with honors
from the University of California at Los Angeles. Dr. Adams earned her Ph.D.
in clinical psychology at the University of California at Davis. She completed
her American Psychological Association pre and post doctoral internships in
the Los Angeles area and has been licensed and practicing in Sacramento since
1989.
Dr. Adams is also an Assistant Clinical Professor at the University of California at Davis, Department of Psychiatry, where she supervises postdoctoral psychology fellows. Special interests include the developmental assessment of young children, parent training, children's groups, and child and adolescent therapy.
