Richard Gould, M.D. is a board certified pediatrician who earned his M.D. at the University of New Mexico and graduated with honors. Dr. Gould completed his residency at the University of California, Davis, and taught other residents and medical students as Chief Resident there, before entering private practice. He also served as Chief of Staff for Pediatrics at Sutter Memorial Hospital and Division Chief at Mercy General Hospital. Special interests include child development and behavior. He has four children and feels that parenting has added to his understanding of pediatrics.
Richard Lloren, M.D. is a board certified pediatrician. He received a Bachelor of Science from the University of San Francisco and his MD from the University of California Davis. Dr. Lloren’s training was completed at Phoenix Children’s Hospital. Dr. Lloren is a general pediatrician but is particularly interested in taking care of children with pulmonary disease. Leisure activities include boating, golf, and painting.
Jackie Agee, M.D. is board certified in pediatrics. Dr. Agee graduated cum laude from the University of the Pacific and received her medical degree from the University of Nebraska. She completed her residency and post doctoral fellowship training at the University of California at Davis Medical Center and has been practicing in Sacramento since 1981. Special interests include pulmonary and gastrointestinal diseases. Her two children continue to be her very best teachers in the realm of pediatrics.
Scott Budd, M.D. is a board certified pediatrician. He received his undergraduate degree from UCLA and his MD from the University of Arkansas, graduating with honors. Dr. Budd completed his residency at the University of Arizona, Tucson and served as Chief Resident in his final year there. Prior to joining PMA, he practiced in Nogales, AZ., Santa Fe, NM and most recently, Bay Saint Louis, MS. Dr. Budd is interested in all aspects of pediatric medicine, but particularly enjoys interacting with and educating new parents regarding their infant and toddler’s health. For fun he loves to sail, cook, golf, and practice guitar.
Larry Nutting, M.D. is a board certified pediatrician. He received his medical degree from the Medical College of Wisconsin. He completed a pediatrics residency at Long Beach Memorial Medical Center’s Miller Children’s Hospital Salinas Valley Memorial Healthcare System(SVMHS). While there he founded and served as Medical Director of SVMHS Newborn Hearing Screening Program. He also served as Chair of the Pediatrics Program. Dr. Nutting enjoys general pediatrics with interests in respiratory disease and dermatology. He is married with three children and enjoys golf and fly fishing.
Catherine (Cate) Bakey M.D. is a board-certified pediatrician who received a Bachelor of Arts from Cornell University in Ithaca, NY and her MD from the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia. She ventured out to California to complete her pediatric training at the University of California, Davis, where she met her future husband and ultimately made Sacramento her home. She is passionate about the full spectrum of general pediatrics and strives to provide a safe, supportive environment for her patients and their families. She is fluent in medical Spanish and especially enjoys developmental pediatrics, caring for newborns and new parents, and coordinating care for children with complex or chronic illnesses. In her free time, she enjoys trivia and crossword puzzles, live music, travel, hiking and camping with her dog, and binge-watching TV series with her cats.
Satya Mantripragada, M.D. is a board certified pediatrician. She is also PALS certified and member of AAP. She received her M.D. at the NTR University of Health Sciences- Rangaraya Medical College, India. She did her pediatric residency program at the Maimonides Infants and Children’s Hospital in Brooklyn, New York. After her residency, she worked as a pediatrician in both North and South Carolina for 6 years, and joined our practice in Sacramento, California in March of 2018. Dr.Mantripragada enjoys general Pediatrics with special interest in respiratory diseases, newborn and infant health. She is a mom of two girls, loves to spend time with her family, watch movies and travel.
Michelle Pelletier, MSW
comes to Pediatric Medical Associates after over 10 years in the child welfare field as a social worker. She received her Bachelors and Masters of Social Work degrees at California State University Sacramento.
Over the years, Michelle has gained an extensive knowledge of community resources that she is happy to share with the patients she works with. Her passion is working with families and providing them with the support they need.
Michelle assisted with the October 2019 implementation of the CHA program at Capital OB/GYN and is excited to launch the program at PMA. The greatest satisfaction she has experienced as a CHA has been being able to build rapport with patients and in turn, provide them with resources and support during challenging times. She has two daughters and loves to spend time with her family. We are excited to be able to offer her expertise to our patients, please join us in welcoming her to the Pediatric Medical Associates family!
